- Tiitration is the most accurate determinant for the exact Ultra Biocid mixture necessary to replace your in house acid source. If
you do not have the means to titrate then you may want to adhere to the recommended product mixture chart located on page 8 of our
slide show presentation or go to our Technical Data page on this website for a link to out recommended formutlation of Ultra Biocid
versus most commercially available acids. A link is provided to the slide show presentation at the bottom of the Website Home page.
- Ultra Biocid’s buffer point is lower than that of Acetic Acid 56%. For example, a mixture of 40% Ultra Biocid and 60% water will yield
a PH value of approximately 2.0-2.5. Disassociation will occur and the PH will gradually rise to 3.6-4.5 which equates to that of
Acetic Acid 56% buffer point. Some users will reduce the strength of the Ultra Biocid because of this buffer point issue but this
only reduces the concentration of The Ultra Biocid and weakens the overall bath.
- If dried the Ultra Biocid will form salts that can be corrosive to some metals. Therefore, you should utilize the Ultra Biocid within
an aqueas medium or simple wash the equipment upon completion. With proper housekeeping procedures you will not have any corrosion
issues.
- The Ultra Biocid is safe for all synthetic fibers where acid PH is required. Concentrated Ultra Biocid must be reduced to strength
for proper use.
