UCI International Inc.
One of the major attributes of Ultra Biocid is safety; to the plant, people and environment. However, standard safety procedures are
highly recommended, as all chemicals should be handled with prudence and care.
SAFETY FEATURES OF ULTRA BIOCID:
Will not ignite- will
not burn as does acetic acid
No vapor pressure- therefore no fumes or fume related corrosion
No VOC’s
No solvents
No odor- not noxious
No
affinity for human flesh- will not burn skin
These are but a few of the many inherent safety features and characteristics of Ultra
Biocid, which you will not find in any other acids or acid components
Handling and Care:
UCI recommends handling with maximum safety
and protection gear, as this is good daily practice with all chemicals. Goggles, gloves and aprons are recommended to minimize exposure
in any situation.
If Biocid has contact with skin, immediately rinse with soap and water. If Biocid contacts eyes, immediately rinse
repeatedly with water as Biocid is defined by OSHA as a mild irritant to the eyes.
Garments that come into contact with Biocid should
be washed immediately, as exposure and time will corrode cotton as will any other acid.
Do not ingest Biocid. If ingested, do not induce
vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention
SPILLS
Plant spill- contain spill with exorbant (for example sand) neutralize with alkali
(caustic, soda ashe, TSP, etc.), Flush to drain or remove to chemical container. Outside spill- dike spill, neutralize and either
flush to drain or flush to ground as the residue will perform as a fertilizer.
